49ers-Bucs inactives — Sopoaga out, Spencer active

SAN FRANCISCO -- Nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga is inactive for the 49ers' game Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a staph infection that kept him out of practice last week.Ricky Jean Francois will start at nose tackle. Undrafted rookie defensive linemen Demarcus Dobbs and Ian Williams will suit up for the first time this season.Cornerback Shawntae Spencer and safety Donte Whitner are active for the game. Spencer was hobbled with a toe injury last week during practice. Whitner has not played since sustaining a left hip contusion on the opening drive two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals.Rookie fullback Bruce Miller will get his third start in place of Moran Norris, who sustained a fractured left fibula Sept. 18 against the Dallas Cowboys. Norris is expected to miss six to eight weeks.Receiver Braylon Edwards, who underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee three weeks ago, is expected to return to action Oct. 30 against Cleveland.Running back Frank Gore will return to the starting lineup for the 49ers.
