San Francisco wide receiver Quinton Patton had his best day as an NFL receiver, but he also had a costly one.
The NFL fined Patton $18,231 for a horse-collar tackle of New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robinson on Sunday. Patton made the tackle of Robinson, who intercepted a Colin Kaepernick pass and returned it 29 yards in the first quarter.
Patton becomes the second 49ers player fined that amount for a horse-collar tackle this season. Outside linebacker Eli Harold was fined for his tackle of Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson.
