The 49ers have the third-most arrests in the National Football League over the last five years, coming in behind the Vikings (18) and Broncos (16). San Francisco has the most arrests and indictments since 2012 with 13 incidents. Here is a timeline...
Jan. 2012 — Aldon Smith, LB
Aldon Smith was arrested in Miami Beach on suspicion of a DUI.
Feb. 2012 — Ray McDonald, DT
Ray McDonald was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from a 2010 DUI arrest.
Nov. 2012 — Demarcus Dobbs, DT
Demarcus Dobbs was arrested for marijuana possession and a DUI.
Feb. 2013 — Al Netter, OL
Al Netter was arrested in San Jose, Calif. for a DUI.
Sept. 2013 — Aldon Smith, LB
Aldon Smith was arrested on suspicion of a DUI.
Oct. 2013 — Aldon Smith, LB
Aldon Smith turned himself in on felony weapons charges.
Jan. 2014 — Daniel Kilgore, OL
Daniel Kilgore was arrested on public intoxication charges. He remains on the 49ers' roster and expects to have a starting role in 2015.
Mar. 2014 — Chris Culliver, CB
Chris Culliver was charged with a felony hit-and-run, misdemeanor reckless driving and felony possession of brass knuckles. He played his final year of his rookie contract out and was not re-signed.
Apr. 2014 — Aldon Smith, LB
Aldon Smith was arrested on suspicion of making false bomb threat at LAX airport in Los Angeles, Calif.
Aug. 2014 — Ray McDonald, DT
Ray McDonald was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. He was released, with general manager Trent Baalke citing a "pattern of poor decision-making."
Mar. 5, 2015 — Bruce Miller, FB
Bruce Miller was arrested on suspicion of spousal battery. His case is ongoing.
Aug. 6, 2015 — Aldon Smith, LB
Aldon Smith was arrested on hit-and-run, DUI and vandalism charges. This incident led to his release from the organization.
Aug. 26, 2015 — Ray McDonald, DT
Former 49ers lineman Ray McDonald was indicted by a Grand Jury for rape of an intoxicated person.
Aug. 26, 2015 — Ahmad Brooks, LB
Ahmad Brooks was charged with sexual battery. His case is under review by the team and the league.
Sept. 2016 — Bruce Miller, TE/FB
Bruce Miller was charged with seven felonies and one misdemeanor after assaulting an elderly man and his son at a hotel in San Francisco.
