49ers take sole possesion of NFC West lead

The 49ers have sole possession of first place in the NFC West for the first time this season.The Arizona Cardinals, who began the season 4-0, fell one full game behind the 49ers in the standings with a 21-14 loss at the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.The Cardinals are expected to be without quarterback Kevin Kolb, who last week sustained an injury to his ribs. John Skelton completed 25 of 36 attempts Sunday for 262 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He was sacked seven times.The 49ers took a one-game lead on the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday with a 13-6 victory at Candlestick Park.NFC West standings
