Four starters, including cornerback Jimmie ward, are listed as questionable for the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, the team reported on Friday.

Wide receiver Torrey Smith, who missed the first game of his NFL career a week ago, is also listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. He participated in limited practice this week.

Ward returned to limited practice on Thursday, as he goes through the NFL’s return-to-play concussion protocol. Ward sustained a concussion late in the 49ers’ 30-17 loss to the New England Patriots.

Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch also practiced this week on a limited basis after missing the past three games with a high-ankle sprain. Lynch and defensive lineman Quinton Dial are also listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Dial has seen limited practice this week due to knee and neck injuries.
