Blackout lifted for Thursday's 49ers-Chargers game

Enough tickets have been sold to lift the local television blackout and allow San Diego to see the live telecast of the Chargers-49ers game on Thursday, Dec. 16 at Qualcomm Stadium. Kickoff is 5:20 pm PT. Bob Papa, Joe Theismann and Matt Millen will call the national telecast and Alex Flanagan will report from the sidelines for the NFL Network. The game also will be televised in San Diego on Fox 5.A limited number of Club Level tickets and tickets returned by the visiting team are still available at the Chargers ticket office at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium, at www.Chargers.com and through TicketMaster at 800-745-3000. The ticket office is open Wednesday and Thursday, 8-5 pm.

Fans attending the game are urged to use mass transit or carpool, and arrive early. To avoid heavy traffic around the stadium on Interstates 8 and 15, fans also can reach the stadium via the Friars Rd. East exit off of Highway 163. The rock group Foreigner will kick off the pre-game festivities with a concert beginning at 3:30 pm in the Bud Light Power Party in the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot sections E2 and F2.
