The Santa Clara Plays Fair community group posed a final attempt to block Santa Clara's stadium deal with the 49ers, attempting to get it back on the June ballot for public vote, but the presiding judge tossed out the appeal Monday.
The group is opposed to the approval of 850 million in bank loans to fund the 1 billion stadium, and argued the loan wasn't part of the measure that voters approved in 2010.
The judge ruled that the issue of building a stadium cannot go before the Santa Clara voters a second time, and that the bank loan was an "administrative" act, above requiring voter approval.

49ers officials praised the ruling and said construction could begin this spring.
