Colin Kaepernick's first pass is intercepted by Justin Bethel and returned for a Cardinals touchdown. Arizona takes an early 7-0 lead.

The 49ers offense took the field shortly after the Justin Bethel pick-six, which was followed by another Colin Kaepernick interception, this time to Tyrann Mathieu, who also took it back to the house for a touchdown. Arizona took a 14-0 lead over San Francisco in the first quarter.
Chris Johnson, also known as "CJ2K," followed up by the back-to-back pick-sixes with back-to-back rushing touchdowns, extending Arizona's lead to 28-0 in the first half.

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer passes short to Larry Fitzgerald for a four-yard touchdown, increasing the Arizona lead to 38-7.
The 49ers were backed up on their own goal-line, and on a running play, were safetied by the Cardinals defense. Arizona would go on to win the Week 3 contest by a score of 47-7. The 49ers host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
