Harbaugh couple won't stick around for 49ers-Ravens

Jack and Jackie Harbaugh have one special Thanksgiving coming up. On Thursday, they will watch their two sons become the first pair of brothers to head coach against each other in the NFL. A day later, they will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Interestingly enough, Harbaugh Senior said the couple won't be attending the game when the Ravens host the 49ers, citing keeping the focus on football as a key reason for their decision. Jack said the following on 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore:

I remember a few years ago I watched when the Mannings opened the season one year. Im sure it was all planned. Peyton and Eli opened and I remembered seeing the Mannings up in a press box and it seemed like the camera spent as much time on them as they did the two boys. I perceive the anguish that they felt in watching the ballgame. Thats probably misplaced, but thats what I saw, and we made up our mind that this day is about the 49ers and about the Ravens.

The plan for Jack and Jackie is to join their sons on the field prior to the game for a photo opportunity, then they will leave the facility and watch the game on TV.
