SANTA CLARA -- Left tackle Joe Staley, who left Sunday's game with an apparent concussion, has not been cleared to resume full practice, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Thursday."He's been cleared to do some walk-through, but no, he's still going through a series of, as you guys like to say, protocol," Harbaugh said of the tests that a player who sustains a concussion must pass before returning to practice.Alex Boone, who filled in for Staley on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, said he is on standy-by. Boone has not started a game in his NFL career."I'm not sure what's going on," said Boone, who added he hopes Staley is ready to play Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. "If he's not, I'll be ready to go."The 49ers will hold their first practice of the week on Thursday, beginning at 2 p.m. It'll be known at that time to what level linebacker Patrick Willis (hamstring) and running back Frank Gore (ankleknee) are participating.
