Coach Jim Harbaugh had somewhere to be Tuesday.Just minutes before the players and staff were due on the Santa Clara practice field for the annual team picture, Harbaugh excitedly paced through the locker room to deliver news to some of his players that he was about ready to become a daddy. And with that, Harbaugh hurriedly left the 49ers' team offices and did not take part in the team photo.CSN Bay Area's Dave Feldman reports that Sarah Harbaugh on Tuesday gave birth to the couple's third child, Jack Harbaugh, who weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and 21 inches long. (Jim is the son of Jack and Jackie Harbaugh. Harbaugh's father coached 43 years in the college ranks and continues to be Jim's a major influence in Jim's life.)"Coach points out that Jack was born on the fourth day of the ninth month," Feldman passed along via Twitter. So, it seems as if the kid was born a 49er in more than one way.
It's already been quite an opening week in the NFL for the Harbaugh family before the 49ers even play a game. The 49ers have their first full practice Wednesday in preparation to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
