Injury report: 49ers RB Hyde questionable with shoulder injury

Running back Carlos Hyde was available for limited practice Friday for the third consecutive day and is officially listed as questionable for the 49ers’ game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Hyde did not sound optimistic on Thursday when asked about whether he believes he will be able to play this week after sustaining an injured AC joint in his right shoulder in the 49ers’ 45-16 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 16. It appears unlikely he will be available for Sunday's game.

“I made a lot of improvement,” he said. “I’m back practicing, running around with the guys and stuff. Just trying to take it day-by-day.

“I don’t know how it would feel if I got hit now.”

The 49ers will play Sunday’s game without starting outside linebacker Aaron Lynch (ankle) and rookie cornerback Rashard Robinson (knee). The club listed both players as “out” for the game.

Robinson started the past four games since Jimmie Ward was sidelined with a quadriceps strain. Ward will be back in the starting lineup against the Saints.
