Jacobs, Ginn sit out practice

SANTA CLARA -- Running back Brandon Jacobs and receiver Ted Ginn rehabbed injuries Wednesday while the 49ers went through a padded practice in preparation for Sunday's season-opening game against the Green Bay Packers.Jacobs (left knee) and Ginn (right ankle) both look to be questionable for the season opener. Jacobs sustained a left knee sprain Aug. 18 at Houston. Ginn sustained an ankle sprain Aug. 26 at Broncos.Ginn spent about 10 minutes on a stationary bike at the start of practice. Jacobs was outfitted with a brace on his left knee. Both players went to a side field to work with 49ers strength and conditioning coach Mark Uyeyama while the 49ers conducted their first full practice of the week. Earlier Wednesday, coach Jim Harbaugh said he wasn't sure when asked if Jacobs and Ginn would be available for Sunday's game.
