SAN FRANCISCO -- I just arrived at my press-box seat at Candlestick Park for today's 49ers-Seahawks season opener after spending about an hour in the parking lot before the game.

It was a good atmosphere out there several hours before kickoff, as I walked around and chatted with numerous 49ers fans.Once inside Candlestick Park, a couple things that stand out is the amount of coaching that's going on out there. Offensive line coach Mike Solari is working with rookies Daniel Kilgore and Mike Person -- neither of whom is expected to be among the 49ers' 46 active players.

Also, newly acquired rookie quarterback Scott Tolzien might not be in uniform, either. But he is getting a lot of one-on-one work with quarterbacks coach Geep Chryst.Running back Frank Gore is going through his usual pregame routine of warming up with Mark Uyeyama, the 49ers' head strength and conditioning coach.Inactive players for today's game must be announced at 11:45 a.m.
