Report: Former Vikings offensive lineman heading to 49ers

For the first time since 2009, the 49ers did not draft an offensive lineman. But the 49ers will reportedly add a veteran to the depth chart.

Guard Brandon Fusco, 28, who spent the previous six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, is traveling Monday to meet with the 49ers and is expected to sign, reports Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Fusco (6 foot 4, 306 pounds) has started all 64 games in which he appeared with the Vikings since the 2012 season. He started 14 games at right guard last season.

Second-year player Joshua Garnett, a first-round draft pick last year, started the final 11 games at right guard for the 49ers last season. He lined up at the position during the team’s voluntary veteran minicamp last week.
