Dallas Braden will not pick up a baseball for the next three weeks. He suffered a setback after a bullpen session this week, and Melvin informed the media before Tuesday's game he received a PRP shot (platelet rich plasma) and will be limited to strengthening for the next 21 days.
Braden made only three starts in 2011 before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery.
The injury was not considered serious initially, but not only did it wind up sidelining him for all but three starts last season, it is looking like he could miss a significant amount of 2012.

Right now, the A's don't care if he even throws another no-hitter the remainder of his career.
They just hope he can get back to full strength.
