Yoenis Cespedes made his spring debut with the A's Saturday, facing the Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds.

Donning the Green and Gold for the first time in a game, Cespedes looked healthy, fit and decked out in wristbands and accoutrement.

Cespedes, batting second, came to the plate in the first inning. He watched his first MLB offering into the catcher's glove, a ball outside. Cespedes then took a called strike and stepped out of the box to resettle himself. He then showed a good eye and patience at the plate, taking a ball low and a ball inside to get to 3-1.

In the hitter's count, Cespedes opted not to swing, taking an inside strike before holding off on the 3-2 pitch, a ball inside.

His walk contributed to the A's first-inning, run-scoring rally.

Cespedes came to the plate in the second inning, and lashed an RBI single back up the middle off Cueto.
