Melvin still won't call Cook his closer; return of the CoFro?

OAKLAND -- Ryan Cook picked up his third save in four opportunities this season, but A's manager BobMelvin is staying coy about the closer title. He certainly is our first option for that, Melvin said of potential savesituations. But we may use him in other situations too. We have confidence inany number of guys in that role.
The A's have four relievers on their active rosters that have recorded saves this season. Grant Balfour picked up seven before losing the job, Brian Fuentes owns five, Jordan Norberto picked up a lone save, and Cook has three.

Two interesting sights as the As emerged from the clubhouse for stretching, drills and batting practice.Walking onto the field, I was directly behind a player wearing a No. 4 jerseywith a huge afro. Upon closer inspection, it turns out Coco Crisp did notdecide to let his hair out again. Instead, it was Josh Reddick wearing a wigand donning his teammate's jersey. Reddick did his best to stay in costume foras much of the pregame activities as possible. In a more serious tribute, Jonny Gomes honored fathers and soldiers bywearing combat boots in batting practice. No word on whether Bud Selig willallow him to use them during the game.--
Melvin said that Yoenis Cespedes remains on track for apotential return on Tuesday. Melvin said that his young Cuban outfielder willrun hard in the outfield again Sunday, then enjoy the As off day Monday. Afterthat, Melvin said he will evaluate whether Cespedes can start or DH for himwhen the As open a series against the Dodgers.--Without further ado, the As lineup for Sundays series finale:

1. Coco Crisp (S) CF
2. Jemile Weeks (S) 2B
3. Josh Reddick (L) RF
4. Jonny Gomes (R) DH
5. Brandon Inge (R) 3B
