That was the only hit allowed by Bumgarner, who walked none."These guys roughed me up when I faced them last year. I definitely didn't forget about it," he said. It's the best I've felt all spring. I feel like I'm where I need to be right now."Bumgarner was a rookie when he won in the World Series last year. He is listed as Giants' fifth starter this season."We don't think of him as our No. 5 guy," manager Bruce Bochy said. "It's just the way we set it up. We did what's best for him and for the team. He's a big strong guy. He's throwing the ball better really than he'd thrown all year."Andres Torres, Freddy Sanchez and Cody Ross homered against Arroyo in a four-run third inning.

"I flew out of the Dominican at 7:30 a.m. and didn't get here until 10:30 p.m. I am just happy to get into a game."Volquez will next pitch in a minor league game on March 15."I'm just happy that he's healthy," manager Dusty Baker said.Reds reliever Aroldis Chapman gave up a run on two hits in two innings but struck out three."He threw some good changeups," Baker said.
