The California Golden Bears qualified for their sixth consecutive postseason, earning an at-large invitation to the Women's National InvitationTournament. They will face Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo on Thursday, March17. The game time will be announced on Tuesday.This is Cal's second consecutive trip to the WNIT. Last year, the Bearswon six games in the tournament to earn their first-ever WNIT title.The Bears will open the 2011 tournament by taking on the Cal Poly Mustangs(18-12, 12-4 Big West). The Mustangs earned the Big West's automatic bidand are playing in their first-ever post-season tournament. Cal is 3-0against Cal Poly in program history, with the two teams last meeting inthe 2002-03 season.The winner of the CalCal Poly game will meet the winner of ColoradoUCRiverside in the second round. All of the tournament games are played atparticipating school sites.
