Former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight champion Muhammed King Mo Lawal has had a tumultuous 3 months, to say the least.Following a resounding victory over Lorenz Larkin on January 7th, Lawal tested positive for steroids, resulting in a 9-month suspension & 39,000 fine by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Shortly after the NSAC hearing, Lawal accused Commissioner Pat Lundvall of racism via Twitter - culminating in his release from the Strikeforce organization. All the while, Lawal has been battling a life-threatening Staph infection, a result of knee surgery to repair a torn ACL.Inside Fight Sports caught up with King Mo to recap his emotional start to 2012.
