A's are A.L. West champions - will begin playoffs on the road
If the Yankees win today, A's are the 2 seed and play DetroitIf the Yankees lose today, A's are the 1 seed and play the Wild Card team (Texas or Baltimore)
Note: Today's Baltimore result is irrelevant because the A's win a 3-way tie at 94 wins regardless of the outcome of the East tiebreaker game - A's won season series vs O's and have better intradivision record than YankeesRELATED: MLB scoreboardMLB standings
If A's lose today:
A's play Wild Card game Friday

If Baltimore also loses today, Wild Card game is vs Orioles in Oakland
If Yankees and Orioles both win today, Wild Card game is vs Orioles in Baltimore
If Yankees lose and Orioles win today, they play tiebreaker game Thursday, and the loser hosts the A's in Wild Card game Friday
