Bruce Bochy has not yet announced a corresponding roster move.
UPDATE via Mychael Urban: Reached by a text message at 2pm P.T., first baseman Brandon Belt, whom Bochy suggested Monday could be sent to Triple-A Fresno to create a roster spot for Ross, told CSNBayArea.com that he has not yet heard from the Giants as to his immediate future.
A Giants source told CSNBayArea.com the team is waiting for Ross' arrival at Coors Field so they can examine him and be sure he's ready for action before making a corresponding roster move.
