From Sept. 1 to the end of the season, any player who was on the team's 40-man roster is eligible to play in a Major League game.

Crawford, who hit a grand slam in his first big league game, was sent down July 31 after the Giants acquired Orlando Cabrera from the Indians.

Crawford, 24, hit .190 with two home runs and 17 RBIs in 50 games with the Giants this season after being called up from Single-A San Jose on May 26. He is just the sixth player with a grand slam in his first major-league game, joining an elite club that includes former Giants legend Bobby Bonds.

Burriss was optioned to Fresno to make room on the roster for Carlos Beltran. In 48 games with the Giants, the versatile infielder hit .217 with four RBIs and 10 stolen bases. A switch-hitter, he started 22 games at second base, three at shortstop and two at third.
