Sandoval, who had a breakout year in 2009, struggled in 2010 with his weight and his batting average. He showed up at Media Day in San Francisco noticeably slimmer and discussed his relationship with Bonds, who has yet to officially retire from Major League Baseball despite a looming perjury trial.According to Giants beat writer Henry Schulman, the connection between Bonds and Sandoval surrounds Greg Oliver. Oliver is one of Bonds' personal trainers and also worked with Sandoval this offseason."I don't want to say how much weight I lost, but it's a lot," Sandoval said.
