Melky Cabrera's suspension left the Giants with a hole in the outfield. The team will promote Justin Christian from Triple-A to fill that void, GM Brian Sabean announced on a conference call Thursday.
To replace relief pitcher Dan Otero, who was called up on Tuesday and sent back to the minors on Wednesday, the team will promote right-handed pitcher Eric Hacker.
"Weve got Hacker on the way and Christian will be called up," Sabean announced.
