The Giants reportedly made a move on Monday morning.

San Francisco signed Jimmy Rollins to a minor-league contract, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

The 38-year old shortstop appeared in 41 games last season with the Chicago White Sox.

Rollins, a Bay Area native, spent the first 15 seasons of his career with the Phillies.

In 2015, he hit .224 with two home runs and eight RBI over 144 games with the Dodgers.

He won the MVP in 2007 and was an All-Star in 2001, 2002 and 2005.

Rollins captured the Gold Glove in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2012.

His deal is reportedly worth $1 million in base salary and $1 million in incentives.
