Giants free agent reliever Sergio Romo will reportedly once again represent Mexico in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Romo appeared in two games out of the bullpen for Mexico in the 2013 WBC. He went 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two innings pitched and recorded one save.

In the United States' opening game, Romo earned the save for Mexico in a 5-2 win over the USA. The nine-year MLB veteran struck out Adam Jones and forced ground outs of Jonathan Lucroy and Jimmy Rollins to end the game.

Romo, 33, finished the 2016 season 1-0 with a 2.64 ERA in 40 relief appearances for the Giants.

Jon Morosi of MLB Network was first to report Romo's commitment to Mexico.
