Stow transferred to ‘aggressive therapy' facility

It's been months since we had an update from the Stow family, as Giants fan Bryan -- who was severely beating outside Dodger Stadium at the beginning of last season -- continues his rehabilitation. But the past few weeks have been eventful, according to Sunday's post on the family's website.

Over a week ago, Stow had surgery on both Achilles tendons to correct the "drop foot" he was suffering. The casts came off Thursday and he is expected to be able to place both feet flat on the ground.

In maybe bigger news, Stow was deemed by doctors to have no need for a medical facility and has been transferred from the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center -- where he had been since October -- to a "facility with aggressive therapy that will help him become as independent as possible."

He suffered a small setback after moving to the new environment, but the family is adjusting to the new routine.

Stow still needs assistance moving to and from his chair, dressing, making meals, etc.
