NBA Referees Twitter account responds to remorseful Durant

With less than three minutes remaining during the Warriors' win over the Knicks on Tuesday night, Kevin Durant was hit with a technical foul.

It was his second of the game, which meant he was ejected (four a league-high fourth time this season).

After practice on Wednesday, Durant said that he was an "a--hole" to referee James Williams.

"I can't react like that. I wish I could apologize to James because that's really out of my character," Durant said.

On Thursday morning, the Twitter account "@OfficialNBARefs" tweeted:
