The odd Major League Baseball offseason is bringing a top catcher to Oakland. The A's are signing Jonathan Lucroy to a one-year deal, according to multiple national reports.
Lucroy, 31, spent the 2017 season with the Rangers and Rockies. Between the two, Lucroy hit .265 with six home runs in 123 games played.
The veteran catcher is a two-time All-Star and finished fourth in National League Most Valuable Player voting in 2014.

Over his eight-year career, Lucroy is a .281 hitter with 96 home runs.
