Joerger gets good news following comprehensive medical evaluation

Following a comprehensive medical evaluation, Dave Joerger was given a clean bill of health and will return to the bench sometime in the next week to resume his coaching duties.

Joerger got a scare Sunday in San Antonio. Early in the first quarter, he stood up too quickly and got lightheaded, forcing him to take a knee on the sidelines before disappearing to the Kings locker room with Pete Youngman, the team’s director of sports medicine.

Joerger was healthy enough to return home to Sacramento, where he underwent a battery of precautionary tests with their personal physicians at Kaiser Permanente.

Long time NBA assistant, Elston Turner, will handle the coaching duties for the final game of the Kings’ season-long six-game road trip.
