The Kings have extended Terrence Williams' 10-day contract for the remainder of the season, the team announced today.

The third-year guardforward is averaging 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1 steal in four games with the club.

Williams was originally drafted 11th overall by the Nets in 2009, but was sent to the D-League early last season, and soon thereafter was traded to the Houston Rockets.

He played 11 games with the Rockets last season, and 12 this year before being waived on Mar. 16.

The Kings signed Williams to a 10-day contract on Mar. 21.

As a senior at Louisville in 2008-2009, Williams averaged 12.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, leading Louisville to the No.1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

They were ultimately upset by Michigan State in the Elite 8.

Williams' alma mater is in the Final Four this season, where they will battle arch-rival Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.
