Is Vinsanity coming to Sacramento?

Yes. Sort of.

Vince Carter, the 40-year-old free agent, is set to meet with the Kings on Monday, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Carter, who has played the last three years with Memphis, just wrapped his 19th NBA season.

Dave Joerger, who is entering his second season as head coach of the Kings, coached Carter with the Grizzlies from 2014 to 2016.

Carter played in 73 games for the Grizzlies this past season. In 24.6 minutes per contest, he averaged 8.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

While the Kings have a deep, young core of players, they are looking for an established small forward to help sheppard the first-and-second-year players through the 2017-18 season.
