The Kings caught a break Monday when the NBA announced that Timberwolves forward Kevin Love had been suspended for stomping on the head of an opposing player last weekend.

Love, who is the Timberwolves' leading scorer and rebounder, will miss Tuesday's home game vs. Sacramento and Wednesday's game in Memphis.

The fourth-year power forward is averaging 25.0 points and 13.7 rebounds in 24 games this year. In his only game against the Kings this season, Love went for 33 points and 11 rebounds in a 99-86 win by the T-Wolves on Jan. 16.

On Saturday against the Rockets, Love stepped on Luis Scola's face and upper body after the Rockets' forward had fallen to the floor. He said after the game that the stomp was not intentional and that he had apologized personally to Scola.

The Kings, who play in New Orleans tonight, have won two games in a row following a five-game losing streak.
