Buster Posey is the leading vote-getter among National League catchers for the annual All-Star Game, despite the fact that the Giants' star wont be able to participate.

Posey, who suffered a broken bone in his left leg as well as three torn ligaments on May 25, garnered over 785,000 votes. Atlantas Brian McCann is second with almost 684,000, as Major League Baseball released the voting tally for the first time this season.
Other Giants infielders in the running as potential starters include Pablo Sandoval (third place at third base) and Freddy Sanchez (fifth place at second base).

Posey, the reigning National League Rookie of the Year, sustained his injuries in a collision with Floridas Scott Cousins while blocking the plate. He had surgery on Sunday, May 29 and is likely out for the remainder of the 2011 season.
