Garrard will not be a Raider

Take David Garrard off the Raiders' purported QB wish list.

According to a Tweet from Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Garrard "just called me and told me he needs immediate surgery on herniated disc in his back.

"Garrard has been in a ton of painfrom training camp injury and MRI showed herniation of L4-L5. Says he wanted to be upfront w OAK."
With Jason Campbell lost for at least six weeks and possibly the season with a fractured right clavicle, there have been numerous reports that the Raiders had been in contact with Garrard's agent. Oakland has also been linked with Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton, Josh McCown and Trent Edwards.

Campbell said Monday he was set to undergo surgery later in the day. Kyle Boller is set to start Sunday against Kansas City before the Raiders enjoy their bye week. Rookie Terrelle Pryor is set to be activated this week for the first time in his nascent career as well.
