OAKLAND -- The news on the Raiders' injury front kept getting worse as the day wore on Sunday, following their 42-32 loss to Tampa Bay.Defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was taken to Eden Medical Center at the start of the second half with a fast heartbeat for precautionary reasons. This after the Raiders lost running back Darren McFadden to a left ankle injury in the second quarter, safety Matt Giordano to a right hamstring issue in the third quarter and backup running back Mike Goodson to an injured ankle early in the fourth quarter.RELATED: Goodson, Giordano leave Raiders game with injuries
The injury to McFadden, though, might be the most frustrating given his injury history. He has never played more than 13 games in a season and last year missed the final nine-plus games with a Lisfranc injury to his right foot."He's got an ankle (injury)," said coach Dennis Allen. "I'm not sure the extent to it. The X-rays were negative, but we'll have to, obviously, take a look at it and see where he's at."According to ESPN, McFadden suffered a high ankle sprain on his first carry of the game, a seven-yard carry around the left end, and played through it before aggravating it later. He finished with 17 yards on seven carries and caught two passes for no gain. ESPN reported McFadden will undergo an MRI on Monday.Oakland has already been without right tackle Khalif Barnes (groin) and cornerback Shawntae Spencer (right foot) since the second week of the season. Also, linebacker Aaron Curry (knees) is on the PUP list, though the Raiders have to make a decision whether to activate, waive or place him on season-ending Injured Reserve by Wednesday. Plus, cornerback Ron Bartell (shoulder blade) has been on the designated to return list and could play next week at Baltimore at the earliest.Allen was asked how limited the Raiders were having lost not only McFadden but Goodson."Yeah, when you lose your top two runners, yeah, it limits you," Allen said. "As you saw, we had Marcel (Reece) in at the end of the game running some tailback plays in there. When we have injuries, it changes what you're able to do."
