Janikowski successfully tests strained hamstring

OAKLAND -- The biggest mini-drama heading into the Raiders' game against Denver was whether or not Sebastian Janikowski's strained left hamstring would allow him to kick.He was active and performed his placekicking duties, though he appeared less than optimum on his kickoffs. Three of his kicks reached the end zone, but only one was a touchback."It held up good," Janikowski said. "On kickoffs, I was just doing whatever I could. That's the hardest I could swing."

He also had a 48-yard field goal."We had a thought in our mind," coach Hue Jackson said of a maximum distance he'd put Janikowski out there for a field-goal attempt. "Probably just didn't want to take a chance of re-injuring him. I think he's better for what he did today."Asked if he was limited in his field-goal range, Janikowski said, "Limited, 56 or 57, if you could call that limited. So, we had a good distance."
