Lions expect Kevin Smith to play

The Raiders have had plenty of problems in their past two games, including stopping the run; the Dolphins and Packers averaged 172.5 yards per game against the Silver and Black.

It doesn't look like they'll get an easy week against the Lions as starting running back Kevin Smith, who is officially listed as questionable, is expected to play. Smith participated in his third consecutive practice Friday after a missing the Lions' Week 14 win over the Vikings with an injured right ankle.

Smith is averaging 6.9 yards per carry, but injury has limited him to just four games.

The Raiders are enduring plenty of well-chronicled injuries, and while they are celebrating the return of one playmaker -- Denarius Moore -- Detroit is reveling in the return of quite a few more.

On the defensive side, cornerback Eric Wright and linebacker Justin Durant -- both recovering hamstring injures -- took the field Friday and, like Smith, are listed as questionable but expected to be ready to go Sunday.

The Lions will also be getting back defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who is returning from a two-game suspension for stomping on Packers' center Evan Dietrich-Smith on Thanksgiving.
