No medical update on McFadden's sprained right foot

Oakland running back Darren McFadden, who suffered a "mid-foot sprain" to his right foot early in the Raiders' 28-0 loss to Kansas City on Oct. 23, did not practice Monday in the Raiders' first official post-bye practice.

In fact, coach Hue Jackson said he would not have an update on McFadden until Wednesday, when the team returns to practice in preparation for the Denver game on Sunday.

"Nothing new, nothing new on any of the injury front," Jackson said. "Obviously, we'll know more as we move through the week. But right now, nothing's new."

Asked if he expected to see McFadden on the practice field in two days, Jackson did not flinch.

"I mean, I couldn't say that," Jackson said. "Again, once we get to Wednesday, I'll let you know then."

McFadden, who has missed at least three games due to injury in each of his first three seasons, was on crutches and wearing a walking boot on his right foot the day after the game.

He entered the Chiefs game as the leading rusher in the NFL, but after lasting all of two carries, for four yards, and having the bye week off, McFadden's 614 rushing yards now rank eighth in the league. Still, his 5.4 yards-per-carry average is fourth among backs with at least 110 carries.
