Raiders' home finale avoids blackout

ALAMEDA -- The Raiders have sold out Sunday's home finale, the team announced Friday, and Oakland's divisional game against Kansas City will be televised locally.

It will be the seventh of eight home games to avoid a blackout this season, the 15th of 16 over the past two years as the lone blackout was Dec. 2 against Cleveland, snapping a streak of 13 straight televised home games. The Raiders had received an extension to sell enough tickets to broadcast the game in the Northern California area.

At 3-10, the Raiders have lost six straight games -- their last victory came at Kansas City, 26-16, on Oct. 28 -- and are attempting to avoid losing at least 11 games in a season for the eighth time in the past 10 years. Oakland was 8-8 in both 2010 and 2011.

The 2-11 Chiefs, meanwhile, have won eight of the past nine games in Oakland.

This summer the Raiders took to the NFL's new 85 percent threshold rule, meaning they do not have to sell out every seat in the O.co Coliseum. It's seating capacity of 63,132 is the second-smallest in the NFL.

This will mark the 64th televised home game for the Raiders since they returned from Los Angeles in 1995, along with 80 blackouts.

CBS will broadcast Sunday's game, with Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots in the booth. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT.
