Raiders inactives: Smith, Walford good to go vs Chiefs

OAKLAND – The Raiders got a little healthier during the practice week.

Tight end Clive Walford showed enough improvement during limited work to be declared active for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs after missing the previous game.

Interior linebacker Malcolm Smith was active against San Diego, but was only available in a pinch. He should have more freedom this week, though it’s uncertain whether he’ll have a long leash.

Austin Howard was taken off the injury report and is ready to start at right tackle.

Unlike last week, the Raiders have some healthy scratches this time, suggesting those active will contribute in this pivotal AFC West clash.

Latavius Murray was ruled out earlier this week and headlines a Raiders inactive list that includes CB Dexter McDonald, CB Antonio Hamilton, OT Menelik Watson, OT Matt McCants and OL Vadal Alexander.

Former Raiders linebacker Sio Moore signed with Kansas City this week but was deemed inactive. He joins QB Tyler Bray, CB Kenneth Acker, RB Knile Davis, G Jordan Devey, OT Bryan Witzmann and TE Ross Travis as those unavailable for duty.
