CSNCalifornia.comAs expected, the Raiders placed injured free safety Hiram Eugene on injured reserve Friday.Eugene suffered a dislocated left hip in the Raiders' exhibition opener against Arizona at the O.co Coliseum on Aug. 11 and underwent surgery shortly thereafter.He signed a four-year, 10.25-million contract with the Raiders in March and had been a special teams standout in Oakland since becoming a regular in 2007, especially as the gunner on the punt team. He has started 19 of the 60 games in which he's played and has one career interception with seven passes defensed, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
