ALAMEDA -- The Raiders have announced that Sunday's regular-season finale against San Diego is sold out and thus, will be shown on local television. It is the eighth sellout for Oakland this season, marking the first time since the team returned after 13 seasons in Los Angeles in 1995 the Raiders sold out every home game. The previous single-season best was six sellouts, in 1995, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
"What we have to do is give back to (the fans)," said Raiders coach Hue Jackson. "And how we give back is by winning. For some reason, we're much different than what we were a year ago. We were winning in our division, at home and on the road. This year has been on the road and not at home. Weve got to get that trend changed."We need to win at home. That's whats disappointing to me. We've done OK on the road, but we haven't done what we need to do at homewe need to get back to winning at home and make that happen."The Raiders are 3-4 at home, 5-3 on the road. And thanks to a collective research effort by the Raiders' beat crew, it's been determined that the Raiders have now sold out 57 of 136 home games since 1995.
