Report: After being released by 49ers, Bowman expected to visit Raiders

Update (2:34 p.m.): Bowman is visiting the Raiders on Monday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The former 49ers linebacker is also planning to meet with the Cowboys, according to the same report.

The Raiders need depth at linebacker. NaVorro Bowman needs a new team to play for. After eight seasons with the 49ers, will he continue his career in the Bay Area?

Bowman is expected to visit the Raiders soon, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. According to Rapoport, Bowman and Oakland have strong mutual interest in each other. 

The 29-year-old recorded 22 tackles and 15 assists in five games this season while also forcing a fumble before being released by the 49ers on Friday. 

Bowman put together eight stories seasons with the 49ers after he was drafted in third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has been named an All-Pro linebacker four times and also named to the Pro Bowl three times. 

Through 89 career games, Bowman has accumulated 527 tackles, 181 assists, 12.5 sacks, and four interceptions. Last season, Bowman only played four games after rupturing his left Achilles tendon.
