Despite accepting an assistant coaching job with the Bengals, former Raiders head coach Hue Jackson is scheduled to talk with the New York Giants this week about the quarterbacks coach job, according to a report.

Adam Schefter tweeted early Monday morning that Jackson and the Giants will talk some time this week.

The Bengals announced Friday that they had hired Jackson to assist with the secondary and special teams. Jackson worked as Cincinnati's wide receivers coach from 2004 to 2006.

Jackson was fired as head coach of the Raiders on Jan. 10 by newly hired general manager Reggie McKenzie.
