The Raiders have roughly $43 million in salary cap space entering the 2017 league year, and they could use some of that money to beef up the offense.

Oakland has interest in free agent tight end Martellus Bennett, according to The Boston Globe.

According to the report, the Patriots are interested in retaining the free agent, while the Jaguars could also pursue him.

With Mychal Rivera an unrestricted free agent, the Raiders could be in the market for a tight end. Clive Walford and Lee Smith are the only two tight ends currently on the roster that caught passes in 2016.

Playing with Tom Brady, Bennett put up solid numbers this past season, his first with New England. In 16 games, he caught 55 passes for 701 yards and seven touchdowns.

The soon-to-be 30-year-old Bennett earned $5.185 million during the 2016 season. According to Spotrac.com, Bennett's current market value is a three-year deal worth roughly $18 million.
