CSNCalifornia.comALAMEDA -- As the Raiders began practice Monday morning, receiver Chaz Schilens was on the field practicing for a second straight day. The oft-injured Schilens had been out since spraining a knee in the Raiders' exhibition opener against Arizona on Aug. 11.But missing from practice as it began were tight end Kevin Boss (knee), receiver Louis Murphy (groinhamstring) and safety Mike Mitchell (knee). Also, running back Michael Bennett and receiver Derek Hagan were missing, though neither had been injured of late. If anything, Bennett was a somewhat surprising addition to the Raiders' 53-man roster as he gave the Raiders six running backs and Hagan was a feel-good story making the team as a free agent.Oakland had not announced any cuts. The Raiders did, however, announce that offensive tackle Seth Wand had been released, as the corresponding roster move to the signing of linebacker Ricky Brown on Sunday. Plus, guard Roy Schuening (hand), cornerback Jeremy Ware (ankle), receiver Shawn Bayes (undisclosed) and fullback James McCluskey (undisclosed) all cleared waivers and were thus placed in Injured Reserve.
