Seymour struggles with balky knee

MINNEAPOLIS -- Richard Seymour had not practiced since the Raiders' game at San Diego on Nov. 10 so when the defensive tackle was not on the field for pregame warmups on Sunday, he and his balky knee were a trendy pick to be on Oakland's list of inactives against Minnesota.Yet there the 11th-year veteran was, getting in on a handful of snaps in the Raiders' 27-21 victory over the Vikings.

"I tried to get in mostly in the sack situations," Seymour said. "I was a gametime decision and it's tough to go in with a banged-up knee. I just tried to give the team what I had, which wasn't a whole lot. I will continue to get treatment and hopefully, be strong for next week."It was only the second time since 2007 that Seymour was held without a tackle in a game.Asked if he had ever played without warming up, Seymour shrugged."The doctors were here and I'm trying to play," he said. "I wouldn't read too much into that."
